As COVID-19 changes the world around us, we wanted to let you know that NACAC is still here for you. We’re making changes to protect our staff, the families we serve, and the community at large—and to flatten the curve—but we hope these changes don’t affect your ability to get information and help from us.
Many of our staff already worked from home around Minnesota and the US and more are moving to telework starting this week. There may be a few delays as some of us make the transition, but our phones and emails work no matter where we are so you should be able to reach us pretty much as usual. If you do have to leave a voicemail message, we’ll call you back as soon as we can.
In Minnesota, we have suspended in-person support group meetings and events for now and will be transitioning to virtual meetings for as long as we need to. Of course, our vital Minnesota Facebook support continues as always, and our staff are here by phone and email to help adoptive, foster, and kinship parents from across the state.
And of course, we are thinking hard about the NACAC conference, scheduled for late August in Toronto. While we plan for many different scenarios, please know that the safety of our community will be our top priority and we’ll keep you posted once we know more.
If you have any specific questions for us, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please take care.
