AdoptWalk

Save the Date: May 17, 2008
NACAC's 5th annual AdoptWalk

Presented by Jockey International

Beginning in 2004, NACAC launched AdoptWalk to raise awareness and funds related to adoption. AdoptWalk participants, including parent groups; adoptive and foster families and their extended families, friends and co-workers; adoption professionals; and the general public walk to show their support for waiting children who dream of finding loving, permanent families. AdoptWalk is a 5K walk around Lake Nokomis, followed by a picnic with free food, beverages, and entertainment for all walkers at the Lake Nokomis Community Center.

Funds raised support NACAC’s work to educate adoption professionals, work for system change, and provide services and information to families who have adopted children with special needs. Participants can download an AdoptWalk Fact Sheet to share with sponsors, as well as a Tips for Raising Money factsheet to help them get started.

AdoptWalk is also designed to raise awareness about the need to find permanent families for all children.
